      <image:title>About - Individual Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>Therapy is a space to explore and develop skills that will support and empower your mental health. It is a process that involves us working together to understand you and your history, and making sense of the challenges you are experiencing in the present. What to Expect Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, and for you to make sure you feel comfortable in the space. I will ask you some questions about what you have been experiencing and provide you with information about treatment. We will work together to set goals for therapy and determine an ongoing plan for therapy. Appointment frequency differs for each individual depending on their personal circumstances, however treatment is most effective when sessions are held weekly to fortnightly on an initial basis . It is normal to feel emotional after your first appointment. It can be a good idea to schedule something relaxing or enjoyable after this session, rather than going straight back to school or the office.</image:caption>

The assessment process typically includes: intake interview, 2–3 testing sessions, feedback session, and comprehensive diagnostic report with recommendations for ongoing support. Interviews and feedback sessions typically take 60-90 minutes, and testing sessions take 90-120 minutes. Once all information is collected and testing sessions are complete, the final written report is generally ready within 4-6 weeks. Price: Variable dependant on assessment type (ranges from $2500-$3500). Please use the contact form for further information and a quote.</image:caption>

<image:caption>My Approach Therapy is a unique space where we have the opportunity to sit together and explore how your life experiences have shaped the way you relate to yourself and the world around you. I am passionate about assisting my clients to develop skills that will allow them to reach their full potential. Drawing on a variety of therapeutic techniques, all treatment is individually tailored using an evidence-based approach. I have training in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), as well as mindfulness based techniques. For the treatment of eating disorders, I operate within a cognitive behavioural therapy-enhanced (CBT-E) treatment framework. I do not offer Family Based Therapy (FBT).</image:caption>
